C. Brant Noziska graduated from Colorado College in 1975. He attended the University of San Diego School of Law, receiving multiple academic scholarships and graduating magna cum laude in 1982. Included among his academic and scholarship awards is the 1982 recipient of the General George W. Hitchcock Jr. Scholarship Award for Excellence in Evidence and Trial Techniques. He was also a member of the University of San Diego Law Review.

Following graduation, Mr. Noziska began work as an associate at Thorsnes, Bartolotta & McGuire, and became a partner in 1988. He served as partner for 15 years prior to the co-founding of Rockwood & Noziska LLP in 2001. He tried his first jury trial as a second-year lawyer and as a third-year lawyer tried Thorsnes, Bartolotta & McGuire’s first bad faith insurance denial case obtaining policy benefit prior to trial and winning punitive and emotional distress damages totaling $500,000. Mr. Noziska attended the Hastings College of Advocacy and was a member of the Louis M. Welsh and Chester Bedell Inns of Court. He emphasized in landslide, soils subsidence and construction defect litigation as well as working on personal injury, product liability, and business tort litigation.

Mr. Noziska has additionally practiced in the area of related insurance litigation, first and third party. He has taught Construction Defect and Insurance Bad Faith seminars and has testified in depositions and in trial as an expert on the duties of an insurer. His construction defect litigation experience ranges from single-family homes to 1200+ unit homeowner associations. In 1990, in trial before the Honorable Kevin Midlam, Ret., he pioneered the use of bar codes and scanners combined with laser discs to present a full range of evidence including animations, video impeachment, and other demonstrative and documentary evidence. He has lectured on electronic evidence for Consumer Attorneys of California, and is the recipient of San Diego Consumer Attorneys’ Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award. He also co-authored Landslide and Soil Subsidence Litigation (CEB 1988) for the California Bar. His clients have included a current member of the San Diego Superior Court bench.

Mr. Noziska is an A.V. rated top attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, and referenced in Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in the World. Since 2003, he has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers for his high professional legal standards and ethics. He is a seasoned trial attorney concentrating on insurance litigation, construction defect, product liability, and inverse condemnation.
