Jesse Gonzalez, the founder of J. Gonzalez Injury Attorneys, was born on July 11, 1968 in McAllen, the city he calls home. However, life led him to Minnesota at a young age where he learned the value of hard work and the importance of constant determination. Mr. Gonzalez worked in the Land of 10,000 Lakes for 17 years as a migrant worker to help his family make ends meet.
After completing his high school education, Mr. Gonzalez enrolled at the University of Texas – Pan American and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. After graduation, he put his education to work at La Joya ISD where he was a teacher until 1997.
Mr. Gonzalez took the injustices and hardships he witnessed as an underprivileged child in Minnesota to heart and never forgot them. These experiences sparked the will to do more and he subsequently decided to pursue a Juris Doctor degree. His desire to study the origins of English common law led him to Europe, where Mr. Gonzalez studied at the University of Innsbruck in Austria as well as Oxford University in Oxford, England.
His hard work paid off when he secured an internship with Federal Judge Edward C. Prado in San Antonio during his second year in law school. In 2000, Mr. Gonzalez earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s School of Law.
After completing his studies, Mr. Gonzalez returned to the Rio Grande Valley to make McAllen the home of J. Gonzalez Injury Attorneys. Today, the firm continues to uphold the rights of every victim of personal injury and has offices in McAllen, Brownsville and Rio Grande City. Mr. Gonzalez continues to provide the residents of South Texas with trusted, transparent legal representation and always fights to reach the ultimate goal: success.
