William H. Kennedy was born in Providence, Rhode Island, but moved to South Florida with his family when he was only three years old. Having resided in Broward County since the age of three, he understands the needs of people in South Florida. He has extensive trial experience and handles all types of personal injury and wrongful death cases, PIP litigation, and contractual issues.
Mr. Kennedy understands that going to court can be an expensive and emotionally draining experience for clients and firmly believes in avoiding the cost, delay, and acrimony of litigation when possible. He is a highly-skilled negotiator and received the highest grade in his alternative dispute resolution (ADR) class while in law school. By utilizing ADR methods such as arbitration and mediation, Mr. Kennedy is frequently able to resolve clients’ issues – ranging from simple disagreements to complex, multi-party conflicts – without the high cost of litigation or the accompanying emotional wear-and-tear. But don’t be fooled, he will fight for his clients’ rights in court if negotiations are not successful.
Mr. Kennedy has been featured in the media on multiple occasions and frequently provides legal commentary to local news outlets. Due to his vast experience in the fields of personal injury and products liability, Mr. Kennedy has also lectured at Florida International University School of Law, the Florida Highway Patrol, and was selected as a panelist/speaker for the Broward County Crime Commission. He is a member of the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association, Florida Justice Association, American Bar Association, and American Association for Justice.
Mr. Kennedy is also licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C. and he represented a family that lost a loved one in the 2009 Washington Metro disaster in which nine people were killed and 80 others were injured.
